beta-carotene boost smoothie

mango smoothieI drink a smoothie almost every morning.  In fact when  I skip my morning smoothie, I feel off for the day. Lately, my new fav  is loaded with beta-carotene from mangoes and carrots.  Beta-carotene improves eye health, builds a strong immune system and promotes healthy skin and hair.   Start your morning off right with this beta boost:

Beta-Carotene Boost Smoothie

1 cup of frozen cubed mango

1-2  carrots diced

1 -1 1/2 cup  unsweetened vanilla almond milk

2 tablespoons flaxseed meal

optional protein boost:  2 tablespoons hemp protein powder

filtered water 

Add ingredients in juice mixer, such as a NutriBullet.  Blend until desired consistency.  Add water as needed.  1-2 servings.
